1 GeneralThe General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all services and products of Moosalp Bergbahnen AG (MBB). Special provisions may also apply to the use of certain services.
2 Covid 19 - possible obligation to obtain a certificateAny introduction of the certificate obligation for ski areas by the federal government applies to the entire ski area of the Moosalp region. Non-use of the (transport) facilities does not authorise the exchange, modification, transfer, full or partial refund or redemption of purchased tickets/ski passes. Closure or partial closure of the facilities is expressly reserved and shall not give rise to any claims whatsoever, as shall interruptions to operation.
3 Tickets and travelcards3.1 ValidityTickets and travelcards are personal (with the exception of points cards) and non-transferable. They are only valid during the publicised operating times. All journeys outside the official operating times are not included in the ski pass, etc.
3.2 Magic PassMoosalp Bahnen will be a partner of the Magic Pass (Magic Mountains Cooperation, Société Coopérative) from 01.05.2023. Any claims and refunds for Magic Pass holders must be registered directly with the Magic Mountains Cooperation. Separate terms and conditions apply to the Magic Pass (Magic Mountains Cooperation). www.magicpass.ch3.3 Discounted tickets / family and group discounts / IV cardIn order to purchase discounted tickets, official identification documents stating the date of birth are required and must be presented without being asked. No fares differing from the standard fare will be granted without presentation of the relevant identification. The age groups defined by Moosalp Bergbahnen AG before the season are decisive.
- A family discount is granted if a family purchases three or more ski passes at the same time on presentation of an ID card. Families are defined as one or both parents together with their own children up to the age of 16 (child tariff category); at least one adult and one child must be present.
- A group discount is granted for clubs, schools or companies with a minimum of 10 people and only if booked in advance. A group of several families does not count as a group.
- Disabled adults with a corresponding IV card are granted the ski pass at the children's rate. Children with disabilities and a corresponding ID card travel free of charge. Accompanying persons of disabled children ski for free.
- No discounts are granted on infant tickets.
3.4 Points cardsPoints cards are transferable to persons in the same fare class and are valid for 2 years. If a points card has expired, the following penalty points will be deducted:
1 to 30 days overdue: 10% penalty points | 31 days to 1 year: 20% | More than 1 year: 50%
On presentation of a medical certificate of 3 months or more, the points card will be extended by 2 years without penalty points.
3.5 Data carrierIf tickets are issued as keycards, a deposit fee of CHF 10.00 will be charged. The deposit will be refunded when the card is returned. Damaged cards will not be refunded.
3.6 Loss or theftHalf-day, day and non-personalised multi-day tickets (up to 3 days) will not be replaced in the event of loss or theft. In the event of loss or theft of a season ticket or a personalised multi-day ticket of 4 days or more, the ski pass will be replaced once on presentation of the blocking voucher. A processing fee of CHF 10.00 (plus deposit) will be charged for issuing a replacement pass.
3.7 Exchange / refund
- Purchased tickets and season tickets will not be exchanged, changed or refunded.
- The return of money must be checked immediately after the ticket has been issued. Unfortunately, later complaints can no longer be considered.
- Every customer who buys a multi-day pass or ski season ticket can take out insurance at the ticket office or in the online shop. This allows a refund in the event of illness, accident and lift closure due to unfavourable weather conditions, such as storms, avalanche danger, etc., if at least 50% of the ski area is closed, within the framework of EuropAssistance's general terms and conditions. Without insurance, no refund will be granted.
- If Moosalp Bergbahnen AG is only partially or not at all able to fulfil its obligations under the transport contract due to circumstances which it is unable to prevent, the purchaser of a ski pass is not entitled to a reduction or refund of the costs.
This applies in particular in the following cases:
- Suspension of operations and closures for safety reasons and as a result of force majeure such as poor snow and weather conditions, avalanche risk or official orders
- Operating restrictions and partial suspension of transport facilities due to seasonal or reduced railway operations
- Overloading of the transport facilities
- Operational disruptions, e.g. due to technical defects or power cuts
- Official orders or restrictions (e.g. due to power shortages)
- Voluntary restrictions due to special circumstances (e.g. as a result of cost-saving appeals by the authorities due to power shortages)
- Pandemic or epidemic
3.8 Control / misuse / forgeryIn the ski area, ski passes or tickets can be checked at any time by the employees of Moosalp Bergbahnen AG. Tickets and passes that have been misused or forged will be confiscated. Tickets and travelcards in use that are not suitable for use may be withdrawn in accordance with the same provision. An administrative fee of CHF 200.00 must be paid. The right to take measures under civil or criminal law remains reserved.
3.9 Ticket inspectionThere is an electronic issuing and control system for tickets. The readers must be used correctly and the skier must follow the instructions of the staff. The ski pass must be presented on request.
3.10 Euro exchange rateIf payment is made in EURO, the exchange rate defined by Moosalp Bergbahnen AG on the basis of the economic situation applies.
3.11 InsuranceIf Europ Assistance Ticket Insurance is taken out, its General Terms and Conditions of Insurance (AVB) apply as an integral part of these GTC.
4 Means of paymentMoosalp Bergbahnen AG accepts the following means of payment:
- Cash (CHF or EURO)
- All major credit cards
- Postcard
- REKA and REKA-Card
5 Exclusion from transport5.1 GeneralPersons may be excluded from transport if they
- are drunk or under the influence of narcotics
- behave inappropriately
- do not comply with the rules of use and behaviour or the instructions of the staff based on them.
5.2 Transport for the practice of a sportIf the weather conditions are unsuitable for practising the sport, in particular if there is a risk of avalanches, persons may be excluded from transport to practise the sport. Persons may also be excluded from transport for the practice of a sport if they endanger third parties immediately prior to the intended transport and there is reason to assume that they will continue to endanger third parties. In the event of a repeat offence or in serious cases, the ticket may be revoked.
Endangering third parties exists in particular if the person concerned
- has behaved recklessly
- has travelled on a slope at risk of avalanches
- has disregarded instruction and prohibition signs that serve the purpose of safety
- has disobeyed the safety instructions of the supervisory and rescue services
6 LiabilityAs far as permissible, the liability of the cable car company is limited to grossly negligent and wilful behaviour.
7 Safety on the piste / rescue service7.1 GeneralThe FIS rules of behaviour and SKUS guidelines must be observed. All skiers ski at their own risk. The marked pistes must not be left under any circumstances. Forest and wildlife protection zones are to be avoided. Comply with the generally applicable regulations. Outside of lift operating hours and after the final inspection, pistes and descents are closed and not secured against any dangers such as avalanche blasting or piste machines (with cable winches). For safety reasons, it is forbidden to ski or walk on the pistes after the pistes have closed.
7.2 Rescue serviceIf the customer has an accident on the premises of Moosalp Bergbahnen AG and the rescue service has to be called out, the customer will be charged a maximum amount of CHF 270 plus material costs. Third-party costs (e.g. Air Zermatt, doctor) are paid directly by the customer. Any claims for reimbursement must be made by the customer to his insurance company.
8 Data protectionThe collection and processing of customers' personal data by Moosalp Bergbahnen is explained in the data protection declaration at www.moosalpregion.ch. This forms an integral part of the GTC.
9 Applicable law / place of jurisdictionThe contract between the customer and Moosalp Bergbahnen AG is subject to Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Leuk, unless mandatory statutory provisions prescribe a different place of jurisdiction.

General Terms and Conditions Moosalp Tourismus AG | Alpuschnaager1 General terms and conditionsThe General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all services and products of Moosalp Tourismus AG (MTAG) in connection with the Alpuschnaager. Special provisions may also apply to the use of certain services.
2 Travel tickets and travelcards2.1 ValidityTravel tickets, season tickets and Alpuschnaager event tickets are personal and non-transferable.
2.2 Ticket category
- Adults aged 16 and over
- Children 6 to 15 years
- Infants up to 6 years
- Dogs pay a separate ticket
2.3 Discounted tickets / local fares / IV card
- Official identification stating the date of birth is required for the purchase of discounted tickets and must be presented without being asked. No fares differing from the standard fare will be granted without presentation of the relevant identification.
- The local rates are only valid on presentation of the blue local ID card on site.
- The guest card tariffs are only valid on presentation of the guest card on site.
- Adults with disabilities with a corresponding IV card will be granted a ticket at the children's rate. Children and young people with disabilities and the appropriate ID travel free of charge.
2.4 Lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced if lost. If an Alpuschnaager season ticket is lost or stolen, it will be replaced once. A processing fee of CHF 10 will be charged for issuing the replacement ticket.
2.5 Exchange / refund
- Purchased travel tickets, season tickets and Alpuschnaager event tickets will not be exchanged, changed or refunded.
- The return of money must be checked immediately after the ticket has been issued. Unfortunately, later complaints can no longer be considered.
- If Moosalp Tourismus AG is unable to fulfil its obligations under the transport contract in full or in part due to circumstances beyond its control, tickets will be refunded in full or in part in the form of a credit note.
Purchasers of season tickets are not entitled to any reduction or refund of costs.
This applies in particular in the following cases:
- Suspension of operations and closures for safety reasons and as a result of force majeure such as poor snow and weather conditions, ice on the route or risk of avalanches or official orders
- Operating restrictions and partial suspension of Alpuschnaager operations due to seasonal or reduced operations
- Operational disruptions, e.g. due to technical defects
2.6 Checking / misuse / forgeryTickets are checked by the driver before the journey begins. Tickets and travelcards that have been misused or forged will be confiscated. An administrative fee of CHF 200 must be paid.
We reserve the right to take civil or criminal action.
3 Toboggan run / toboggan hireThe Bürchneralp-Bürchen toboggan run is open daily from 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm. Use of the toboggan run outside of operating hours is not permitted.
Sledges can be hired from the Alpuschnaager driver or from the sledge depot on the Bürchneralp. Sports equipment such as sledges, cross-country skiing equipment or similar can be transported free of charge on the Alpuschnaager. The sledges are the property of Moosalp Tourismus AG and must be treated with care.
4 Means of paymentMoosalp Tourismus AG accepts the following means of payment:
- Cash (CHF)
- TWINT
- All major credit cards (only when booking via the online shop or at the Info Centre)
- Postcard (only when booking via the online shop or at the Info Centre)
5 Exclusion from transport

Travelling on the toboggan run after closing time is prohibited for safety reasons.
