This book documents the construction of wellnessHostel4000 in Saas-Fee and the Aqua Allalin wellness centre, which was developed as a result of the collaboration between the Civic Community of Saas-Fee and the Swiss Youth Hostels. This unique property has caused an international sensation since its opening. It not only draws in locals, but also attracts many new guests to town and has already been honoured with two prestigious awards.

The project’s innovations are remarkable: Combining a hostel with a wellness and fitness facility, it is the first five-storey wooden building in the accommodation sector in Switzerland.
