The observatory on the Gurten allows you to gaze into a distant world, far away from the light and noise of the city. Join us on a journey into space on Bern's local mountain.

The observatory offers the general public a detailed insight into physical and other scientific phenomena in space. Public observation evenings take place every Tuesday under the professional guidance of the Astro Events association. The various celestial events are explained in an understandable manner and can be observed with a telescope.

"Stärne(Z)nacht" Dinner at Gurtners restaurant
Combine your trip to the observatory with a visit to the Gurtners restaurant. With the Stärne(Z)nacht offer, you get a three-course meal, mineral water, a star drink to take away and admission to the observatory. Enjoy a dinner before the obervation. Gurtners restaurant is open from 5.30 p.m.

Start: 9.45 p.m.
End: 11:30 p.m.
Last departure of the Gurten funicular: 11:45 p.m.

Venue: Observatory, Gurten – Park im Grünen
The event will take place in all weather conditions.In case of bad weather, the alternative program will take place in a seminar room.

The observatory visits are organized in cooperation with Astro Events and are held in German.
