In Bern, gin is traditionally drunk at the very bottom of the city: on the Aare in the Matte. Now there is the gin enjoyment on an evening at the highest point of Bern, in the Ferris wheel on the Gurten. Taste different types of gin and enjoy the magnificent view over Bern, all the way to the Matte distillery!

The event starts at 8.00 p.m. with a welcome drink and a short briefing in front of the Ferris wheel on the Mergelplatz. This is followed by a tasting session in the gondolas. Tickets will be checked at the entrance. The tasting lasts about 90–120 minutes. Warm and weather-appropriate clothing is recommended.

The tickets can be booked with or without a three-course gourmet menu at Restaurant Gurtners. The menu can be ordered vegetarian or with meat. A table is automatically reserved for the ticket option with the culinary offer. In order to be on time for the tasting, we recommend that you arrive at Restaurant Gurtners at around 6.00 p.m.

Your booking is binding and the tickets are non-refundable.
The gondolas of the Ferris wheel are covered. It is operated even in the rain, accordingly weather appropriate clothing is recommended.

The Ferris wheel has 24 6-seater gondolas. Individuals or small groups can be added to other groups.
