By means of clear explanations, participants learn about the impressive properties of the solar system and the universe. Professionals from the Astroevents association explain the astronomical concepts with the help of easy-to-understand models. In the practical part, interesting information is provided about the constellations, while the stars and planets can be observed through several professional telescopes.

Topic on 18 January 2025: Mars close to Earth
Are you fascinated by the planets in our solar system? Approximately every two years, Earth overtakes Mars on its inner orbit. On 18 January, the distance from Mars to Earth will be around 96 million kilometres and you will be able to see details of the red planet with a telescope. On this evening you will learn everything you need to know about our neighbouring planet and be amazed at how much it resembles the Earth.

At the event you will also have the opportunity to take an unforgettable look through the Gurten Observatory
