SALON & LONGING
A Musical Journey with the Accordion
Ina Callejas – Accordion Solo

A historic salon, a waltz, a fairy tale, a touch of Paris and finally the tango: in this solo programme, the elegance of the Belle Époque meets poetic character pieces, film music and the passionate rhythms of tango.

From the shimmering waltzes of Johann Strauss, through Mozart’s delicate Adagio and Humperdinck’s fairytale imagery, the musical journey leads through the French musette atmosphere and the great emotions of film music to the sound worlds of Piazzolla and Galliano.

Along the way, the accordion reveals itself in ever-changing forms: as a delicate salon instrument, an orchestra, a storyteller and finally a virtuoso dance partner.

A concert between elegance and passion, between the familiar and the unexpected – filled with stories, images and longing.
