arranged for two violins and cello by Morris Wolf and René Camacaro
In between, the author reads new texts
With his more than 600 songs, Franz Schubert proved himself to be one of the most creative song composers in music history and was therefore also called the "Prince of Songs." He transformed poems into music - artfully crafted works floating between moods. His songs all carry a powerful undertone of mystery, hope, light, and darkness. The art songs arranged for two violins and cello by René Camacaro and Morris Wolf show how magical these works can sound even without words.
The author Ariane Koch will respond with new texts to Schubert's "Songs Without Words." Through her writing, she explores the resonant atmospheres; the evening, the night, the waters, and is interested in their (original) literality. She connects the musical moods with her own and hopes for their poetic interplay (or friction with each other).
