We are delighted to welcome Philipp Fankhauser back to the GIESSBACH SESSIONS again. An event that you should definitely not miss in winter 2026.

As always with our GIESSBACH SESSIONS live & unplugged, the number of seats is limited to 200 guests. This gives this concert series a very special charm - like being a guest at a friend's house -  you can hear the guests say again and again. Be a part of it too, we look forward to seeing you!

Philipp Fankhauser "AIN'T THAT SOMETHING"
Yes, it really is a thing, Philipp Fankhauser's new album. Not that his previous seventeen albums were always free of surprises, but now it's pretty big! To say that it's "just" a blues album wouldn't be wrong, but it's not the whole truth either! Fankhauser and his congenial musicians swing effortlessly back and forth between blues, country, gospel, R&B, zydeco and French chanson. Always in the typical Fankhauser sound, with a good dose of soul, impressive authenticity and an independence that is unrivalled in this country! Hearing and seeing the six men on stage is simply great fun! After the 2022 album "Heebie Jeebies", a trip back in time, the current, contemporary Philipp Fankhauser that fans have grown so fond of is back. Handmade, authentic music and lyrics that make you dream and make you think. Accompanied by his five regular musicians, Philipp Fankhauser's concerts are always a mixture of popular songs and new music he has never heard before. With the brand new song Jack in My Back, Philipp Fankhauser thanks his young (unknown) stem cell donor. In The Ghetto, an audience favourite for years, is finally available as a recording and remains firmly in the programme. Country in the Fankhauser style still has its place, as do the classic blues shuffles and heart-warming ballads.

For hotel guests: you will automatically receive the access code for the barrier by email one day before your arrival. Parking costs CHF 15 per car per night.
For day visitors: free parking is available for concert attendees at the Forest Parking Lot (400 m above the hotel) – no ticket required.
