A festive programme for octet brings together two colourful works: Tchaikovsky’s beloved Nutcracker Suite in Paul Scharf’s finely crafted arrangement evokes the magic of the ballet with dance-like lightness and fairy-tale miniatures. In contrast, Thieriot’s Octet Op. 62 impresses with romantic warmth, chamber-musical refinement, and vivid dialogue between strings and winds – a true discovery. Together, they create an evening full of charm, elegance, and sonic diversity.

The ‹klang› Autumn Trilogy has become a tradition, as essential as the colourful autumn leaves. Over the years, numerous renowned musicians have performed, and this year, for the first time, the «Swiss Octet», featuring musicians from the Tonhalle Zurich, the Zurich Opera House, and other distinguished orchestras, as well as «Das Musenkuss-Kabinett», will take the stage. You can look forward to three varied and inspiring concerts.
