Giessbach car-free to celebrate its 150th anniversary
from 12th to 17th April 2025

The Grandhotel Giessbach, designed by the architect Horace Edouard Davinet, was inaugurated in 1875 – exactly 150 years ago. We want to celebrate this milestone in style! From Saturday, April 12, to Thursday, April 17, 2025, a special event awaits you around the historic hotel complex: market stalls, a music pavilion, games like croquet, and a welcoming garden café with cozy seating invite you to relax and enjoy.

For six days, Giessbach will shine with a peaceful and idyllic atmosphere, reminiscent of times gone by.

Guests can drive to the forest parking lot and park there. From there, they can either walk or take the nostalgic, regularly running guest shuttle to the historic hotel complex.

A car-free Giessbach has been a long-cherished dream. With this jubilee week, we hope to take a step closer to making this dream a reality. We look forward to your visit and to engaging conversations !
