From the Homeland. Bohemian Sonatinas
Bohemia is a land full of small horizons, full of miniature landscapes that change very quickly as you travel through. This concert program, From the Homeland. Bohemian Sonatinas, is much the same. Each work is a miniature, and within each movement even more miniatures are hidden—just as varied as the country where they were created. The selection of sonatinas is equally diverse, spanning from composers of the 20th century to those of the Romantic era. The duo From the Homeland by Friedrich Smetana expresses the composer’s longing for home and brilliantly reflects his enthusiasm for the Bohemian polka. The audience can look forward to a wonderful evening—a colorful musical bouquet from Bohemia.
