Le livre sur les quais invites you to a meeting with leading French novelist Franck Bouysse about his latest novel Entre toutes (Albin Michel).

Franck Bouysse was born and lives in Corrèze. He has published around fifteen award-winning novels, including Grossir le ciel (La Manufacture de livres, 2014; Prix SNCF du polar, Prix Michel Lebrun, Prix Lire en poche...), Né d'aucune femme (La Manufacture de livres, 2019; Prix des libraires, Prix Babelio, Grand prix des lectrices de Elle...), Buveurs de vent (Albin Michel, 2020; Prix Giono).

In his latest novel, Franck Bouysse delivers a moving portrait of his grandmother Marie, a peasant farmer in Corrèze, whose life spans the whole of the last century. Through simple joys and deep sorrows, wars and silences, the author weaves a vibrant tribute to the shadowy women who were his grandmother and mother, both resistant and luminous. In a sensitive, fine and poetic language, the author delivers a deeply intimate account while setting it within a novelistic fresco that is as magnificent as it is heartbreaking.
