As part of the Floralies at the Beau-Rivage Palace, which celebrates the plant world, the cycles of nature and living things, two great biodynamic houses are meeting for the first time around a shared vision of wine and respect for the earth: Marie-Thérèse Chappaz (Valais) and Jean-Charles Abbatucci (Corsica).
These close friends of chef Anne-Sophie Pic, trailblazers firmly rooted in their terroir, work their vines biodynamically, following the rhythm of the lunar cycle and respecting endemic grape varieties. The biodynamic lunar calendar guides the work in the vineyard and the cellar, harmonising cultivation with nature.
The days are defined as Flowers, Leaves, Roots or Fruit.
As a nod to this calendar, 7 May is a fruit day. An ideal day for tasting, when the wines reveal themselves with greater generosity, openness and aromatic intensity.
