Submarine dive to the Vitzanove Wreck

The Vitzanove was a passenger ship that sank 180 m from Vitznau on 26 December 1999 during Storm Lothar. The 60-person ship has been suspended at an angle in perpetual darkness ever since, at a depth of around 94 m. There were two men on board, including the owner, both of whom were able to reach the shore after the boat sprang a leak – despite the 5°C water temperature. The ship is very well preserved and the door to the cabin is open, allowing you to look inside.

The trip departs is the Pier from the Hotel Vitznauerhof, Vitznau.

Please note: The temperature in the submarine will drop during the trip. We recommend bringing warm clothing with you, even in summer.

The dive trips take place with a minimum of 3 passengers. As soon as the first slot per half-day (09:00 / 13:00) is filled with at least 3 passengers, the next second slot (11:00 / 15:00) opens up. If you are a group of 3 or more people, please contact us and we will open a slot for you.
