Submarine dive to Portland

The Portland was a cargo ship that sank in a storm near Fürigen in 1955. There were two men on board; the crew member was saved, but the captain was never found. The Motor-Naue Portland is 47 m long and sits at a depth of around 80 m. The wood and steel construction has remained very well preserved over the years. Details like the ship’s wheel and the coat of arms on the stern are still clearly discernible, for instance.

The meeting point for the diving trip is at the pier of the Seehotel Kastanienbaum

Important: It can cool down in the submarine during the dive. It is recommended to bring warm clothing even in summer.

The dive trips take place with a minimum of 3 passengers. As soon as the first slot per half-day (09:00 / 13:00) is filled with at least 3 passengers, the second slot (11:00 / 15:00) opens up. If you are a group of 3 or more people, please contact us and we will open a slot for you.
