In the context of the exhibition «Pathways of Art – How Objects get to the Museum»
After a successful run of almost two years, the exhibition Pathways of Art – How objects get to the Museum ends on March 24. With the exhibition, designed as a tour through the collections, the Museum Rietberg has ventured a new approach, posed critical questions about its own collections and, in this context, reflected on its institutional self-image. Numerous research findings from recent years have been incorporated into the exhibition on the one hand and recorded in a comprehensive accompanying publication on the other. As part of a symposium with guests from various disciplines and countries, a review will now be undertaken and future strategies for dealing with collections and their histories will be discussed.Detailed progammeVenue:
