For its very first cyanotype workshop, the Hôtel Angleterre has invited Mélanie Gehri from Lausanne to introduce you to this astonishing photographic process, which lies at the crossroads of art and nature.

Cyanotype is an ancient printing technique that allows you to create delicate, deep-blue compositions using flowers, leaves or small plant elements. When exposed to light, the patterns gradually reveal themselves on the paper, giving rise to unique creations, where each print becomes a small, original piece.

Guided by Mélanie, you’ll design your own compositions and create cards and bookmarks – to give as gifts or to treasure for yourselves. A creative and convivial interlude to get ready for the festive season in a different way, with your hands busy and your mind free.

No artistic experience is necessary: simply let your creativity run free… and be amazed by the magic of blue.
