Over more than 40 years, René Prêtre has operated on more than 6,000 children's hearts, successively heading the pediatric cardiac surgery departments in Zurich, Lausanne (CHUV) and Geneva. Beyond the operating room, he founded the Le Petit Cœur foundation, committed since 2006 to developing pediatric cardiac surgery in Mozambique and Cambodia. Author of the bestseller "Et au centre bat le cœur", he will share, with photos and personal accounts, an extraordinary career devoted to the most vulnerable children.
