The trumpeter, who grew up in Appenzell, has been leading his Michael Neff Group for 25 years and skilfully moves between wide-ranging poles in which ideas develop freely and openly. Together with the band, he creates compositions with ideal space for the expressive and virtuoso playing of trumpet and rhythm instruments, complemented by the impressive voice of guest singer Nathalie Maerten.
